Ripley County Sheriff’s Report

On Feb. 12 at 11:35 a.m., the sheriff’s office received an identity theft complaint. The victim reported identifiers had been used to file a fraudulent income tax return in another state.

On Feb. 12 deputies responded to an address on Hwy. 142E for a trespassing complaint. The victim identified several people who had walked across the property after being warned to keep out.

On Feb. 12 deputies responded to an address on N Hwy. for a trespassing complaint. The suspect left the property before the officer arrival and no charges were filed.

On Feb. 13 deputies responded to a residence on 160W for a trespassing complaint. The victim said three people in a dark colored SUV stopped in front of her property and were harassing her dog. She shouted at them and they left the area before the sheriff’s office was notified.

On Feb. 13 Corey Whitt, 29, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at his residence on County Road 429 in Poplar Bluff. Whitt was booked in on a Ripley County warrant for felony stealing, property damage, and trespassing ($10,000 bond) and he was lodged in the Butler County Jail. The warrant was related to the investigation of a theft reported in early 2024.

On Feb. 13 Justin Long, 35, of Doniphan, was arrested at his residence on Jackson Street in Doniphan. The arrest stemmed from the investigation of a felony assault at a residence on 21N. Long was booked in on charges of Burglary 1st degree and Assault 3rd degree and he was lodged in the Ripley County Detention Center.

On Feb. 14 Greg Lehman, 36, of Doniphan, was arrested at a residence on Ripley 142E-12. Lehman was booked in on a Ripley County warrant for resisting arrest and he was released on bond.

On Feb. 14 at 6:36 p.m., Joseph Riley, 45, of Doniphan, was arrested at his residence on Ripley Rt. NN. Riley was booked in on a Ripley County warrant for stealing ($5,000 bond) and he was lodged in the Ripley County Jail. The warrant was related to the investigation of a theft reported in early 2024.

On Feb. 14 at 7:45 p.m., Jason Longhibler, 45, of Naylor, was arrested following a domestic disturbance at his residence. Longhibler was booked in on charges of domestic assault 2nd degree and endangering the welfare of a child and he was lodged in the Ripley County Detention Center.

On Feb. 16 at 11:45 p.m., Juan Zuluaga-Lopez, 32, of Gatewood, was arrested during a traffic stop on Hwy. 142W in Doniphan. Zuluaga-Lopez was booked in on a charge of driving while intoxicated and he was lodged in the Ripley County Detention Center.
