Ripley County Sheriff’s Report

On Jan. 31 Webb’s Auto Sales reported a dealer plate was stolen from a vehicle while it was parked on their lot on 160E in Fairdealing.

On Jan. 31 at 9 p.m., Skylar Maynard, 19, of Doniphan was arrested during the investigation of a single vehicle accident on Hwy 160W in Doniphan. Maynard was booked in on a charge of driving while intoxicated and he was released on summons.

On Jan. 31 at 10:57 p.m., deputies responded to a residence on Ripley 21N-18 in Doniphan for a domestic disturbance. No injury was reported and no charges were filed.

On Feb. 1 at 8:30 a.m., deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Rock Bass Ln. in Doniphan. No injury was reported and neither party wanted to sign a complaint.

On Feb. 3 at 1:31 a.m., Joseph Bryeans, 52, of Oxly was arrested during a traffic stop on Hwy. 142E in Doniphan. Bryeans was booked in on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and he was lodged in the Ripley County Jail.

On Feb. 3 at 4:27 a.m., deputies responded to a residence on Ripley W-2 in Naylor for an accidental shooting. The victim said he was pulling a rifle out from behind the seat of his truck when it discharged, striking him in the lower leg. The victim was transported from the scene by helicopter.

On Feb. 3 at 10:15 a.m., the sheriff’s office received a complaint that an adult female was being harassed by her estranged husband. Efforts to contact the suspect failed, and the matter was referred to the prosecutor’s office.

On Feb. 3 at 6 p.m., Bobby Scott, 49, and Tammy Scott, 63, both of Doniphan were arrested at their residence on 160W. Bobby Scott was booked in on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and also two Ripley County warrants for failure to register as a sex offender ($20,000 bond and no bond, respectively); and Tammy Scott was booked in on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were lodged in the Ripley County Jail.

On Feb. 7 deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident on the parking lot at Munch N Pump on 142W in Doniphan. No injury was reported.

On Feb. 7 the sheriff’s office received a complaint from an adult male that his ex-wife used his debit card to make withdrawals from his account in 2023.

On Feb. 7 the sheriff’s office received a complaint that license plate renewal stickers were stolen from two vehicles parked at a residence on Ripley 21N-18.

On Feb. 7 deputies responded to a car vs. deer accident on N Hwy, in Doniphan. No injury was reported.

On Feb. 8 deputies responded to B Hwy., for a report of livestock in the roadway. Upon the deputies’ arrival the animals were gone.

On Feb. 9 at 6 p.m., deputies responded to Hwy. 142E in Doniphan for a report of shots fired from a blue truck travelling on the roadway. No injury or damage was reported and the suspect vehicle was not located.

On Feb. 10 at 7:20 a.m., Matthew Dusza, 21, of Doniphan was arrested at his residence on Ripley 21N-10 in Doniphan. Dusza was booked in on charges of domestic assault and tampering with a motor vehicle and he was lodged in the Ripley County Jail.
