An officer received a walk-in complaint Jan. 28 in reference to an assault that had taken place on Jan. 25 at River Front Park.
A man alleging an assault by four male subjects stated that there was a fight between two boys, and after the fight he had made the comment that one of the boys got his hind end beat.
At this point the man alleges that two male subjects pulled him to the ground and started hitting him, and when they stopped, a third male subject got on top of him (while he was already down with no chance to get up) and also began hitting him.
The man further alleges a fourth man started stomping and kicking him in the head. After the group finished hitting and kicking him, someone helped him up.
He provided the officer with two video clips, one of the initial fight and the second video which shows the man being assaulted by four males, one of them a 20-year-old man.
At this time an investigation is continuing with aggravated assault charges pending.

An officer was dispatched Jan. 29 to Missouri Highlands Urgent Care in reference to a parking dispute.
A clinic employee advised that a female employee from Head Start keeps parking in such a way that it would obstruct medical staff from getting their cars out.
The employee told the officer that in the past the issue has been mentioned to head start staff, with no results. A call was made that day to the head start director, requesting that the woman be asked to move her vehicle.
The director said she related the request to move the vehicle, but the woman refused to do so. She advised that the clinic would need to get the police involved.
The officer made contact with the woman, explaining that her vehicle was parked in the Missouri Highlands lot, which is provided for their employees and they could have it towed.
At this, the woman said she would move her vehicle over to the Head Start parking lot so there wouldn’t be any more issues.

She asked that officers watch the house in case he returned and advise him he is trespassed from her property. The home was placed on the department’s “watch” list, and the woman was told to call the DPD if the man came back.

An officer was dispatched Jan. 29 to the area of East locust Street near the city limits in reference to a road rage incident.
Dispatch advised that the reporting party called in to report that a woman was following her to town and trying to rear end her car and cause her to wreck.
Dispatch advised that county deputies were both busy and asked that a city officer investigate.
Upon arrival to Sunset and East Locust Streets, the officer waited briefly as he watched for both cars to come around the curve and into the city limits.
The caller was ahead in a red Monte Carlo and the other driver was several car lengths behind her.
She (the other driver) was pulled over as she turned right onto Sunny Acres Drive and stopped.
When asked about the alleged road rage incident, the driver seemed puzzled. The report stated that, based on his conversation with the driver, the officer did not think a road rage incident had occurred.
