An officer was dispatched to the front lobby of the DPD Feb. 2 to speak with an individual who had his ID and a bank card stolen from his wallet.
The man said as he was leaving Tractor Supply at approximately 15:30 hours, a white male subject stopped him at his truck, told him he had dropped his wallet, and gave it to him. The man stated the unknown male left.
All he remembers is he thought the subject might have been wearing a tan coat and possibly had a mustache.
He checked to make sure he didn’t lose anything out of his wallet and noticed his driver’s license and bank card were missing.
Tractor Supply staff were made aware of the incident, and stated they would check their video surveillance to see if anything could be determined about the theft.
In the meantime, the victim called the DPD and reported that an unauthorized charge of $650 was attempted through booking.com, but was blocked by his bank.
