His Place Church held its ninth annual craft fair on Saturday, Dec. 7, offering a variety of homemade Christmas gifts for local shoppers. The event, organized by the church, took place in the sanctuary and featured a wide array of vendors showcasing unique handmade items.
The craft fair has become a cherished tradition in the community, occurring the first Saturday of December providing an opportunity for local artisans to display their talents and for residents to find special holiday gifts.
This year, booths featured a diverse selection of products, including homemade dog treats, wood crafts, jewelry, baked goods, and 3D-printed gifts and ceramics. Local authors were also present to sign their books, adding a literary touch to the festive atmosphere.
The church’s youth group, led by Carlson Roberts, played an active role in the event by offering lunch options of hamburgers or hotdogs. The proceeds from the lunch sales are earmarked for the group’s upcoming trip to the Winter Extreme in Branson, a popular youth retreat.
Angie Rawson, one of the event coordinators, expressed gratitude to all participants, saying, “We appreciate all the vendors and shoppers that came out today.”
Traci Payne of Against The Grain, one of the vendors, won the 50/50 drawing, humorously noting, “I got paid to come sell at the fair.” The event not only supported local artisans but also fostered community spirit and engagement and an opportunity for locals to support local businesses.
