This week’s column will only touch briefly on history. It is very much about the present.
I believe that Naylor is destined to grow and to do so we must attract new businesses and not lose the ones we have.
I overheard someone say sarcastically “What does she know about business?” I dug through the chaos of my future office and came up with an old luggage tag which should answer that question.
The business terminated when my husband had a major heart attack in April 1986. He was only 51 years of age. Yes, he survived the heart attack but our lives were forever changed.
My primary goal in the few years I have left is to do my part in helping make Naylor a better place to live, work and do business. To accomplish that we must spend more time looking through the windshield and less time looking through the rear view mirror.
Last week’s column highlighted the many good things that are happening in Naylor.
The planned grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony had to be rescheduled due to bad weather.
The senior center is now in need of a new cook. That person must be drug tested, needs to be willing to work Monday through Friday. Let us all work together for the betterment of Naylor.
Stay warm and safe!
