Doniphan Recognized At Lt. Governor Missouri Humanities

Julie Braschler, curator and director of tourism for Current River Heritage Museum was presented by Lieutenant Governor David Wasinger (right) along with State Rep. Keith Elliott of District 153 (left) on Feb. 4 at the Missouri Humanities for Small Town Showcase (STS) community highlights.

Julie and Lisa Braschler of Doniphan, with Laura Dumey and Sheila Mickey Porter received recognition for the Small Town Showcase for Marble Hill. Laura and Sheila are docents for the Stars and Stripes Museum in Bloomfield. Mo.

Julie Braschler visited exhibits on Southeast Missouri logging while at the Missouri Humanities recognition. Ripley County is recognized for lumbering with exhibits in making a living in the forest.
