Despite relentless rain, the Class 3 State Cross Country Championship in Columbia saw standout performances. Myla Schrimsher finished 66th, earning a top sophomore ranking, while Macye Maness was named most valuable runner.

The Class 3 State Cross Country Championship in Columbia was marked by relentless rain, yet it did little to dampen the spirits of the competitors.

Among them, Myla Schrimsher stood out, completing the race in 21:56.6, securing a commendable 66th place finish out of 164 elite runners. Her performance this season has earned her the distinction of being the seventh-ranked sophomore in Missouri Class 3, a testament to her dedication and talent

Meanwhile, Macye Maness, in her inaugural year of cross country, was recognized as the most valuable female runner. Her award highlights her remarkable strength and determination, qualities that have not gone unnoticed by her peers and coaches.
