Kiernyn Bond, Donette #21, a standout softball player from Doniphan High School, is eagerly anticipating the next chapter of her life as she prepares to play college softball and further her education with a two-year scholarship with Shawnee Community College.
Bond, the daughter of Darrick Bond and Kara and Rustie Phillips-Ritchey, has signed a letter of intent to play softball for the Saints in Illinois last December.
In addition, Bond plans to pursue a career in physical therapy after general studies at Shawnee.
Reflecting on her high school softball career, Bond fondly recalls her best memory: playing in the district championships during her sophomore year alongside her sister, Kaydyn, who was a senior at the time.
This experience not only solidified her love for the sport, but also strengthened her bond with her teammates and family.
As she looks forward to her college journey, Bond is excited about the opportunity to create new memories and form lasting connections with her future teammates.
