A Piece of Dons History Is Coming Up For Grabs

Doniphan High School is offering the community a rare opportunity to own a piece of its history.

As part of a fundraising initiative, the school is raffling off a section of the old DHS gym floor, emblazoned with the iconic Don logo.

This unique artifact, measuring 6.5 feet in height and 7 feet in width, is sure to capture the hearts of alumni and local history enthusiasts alike.

The fundraiser will culminate in a raffle drawing on Jan. 24, following homecoming festivities.

The Don logo floor piece is one of two such relics; while one will remain at DHS, the other is destined for a new home.

Suggestions for its future include transforming it into a distinctive table or a centerpiece for a man cave. Alternatively, it could be donated to the Current River Heritage Museum, ensuring its preservation as a piece of local history.
