As Valentine’s Day approaches, the Doniphan Middle School (DMS) and Doniphan High School (DHS) Choirs are offering a unique way to express affection with their “Singing Valentines.”
This initiative allows community members to send a song and a sweet treat to their loved ones, supporting the school music programs in the process.
Order forms are available for download or can be picked up at the DIS, DES, DMS, or DHS offices.
Completed forms and payments must be returned in a labeled and sealed envelope to the school offices or the student’s classroom teacher by Feb. 4. Deliveries will be made on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
The “Singing Valentines” initiative is a cherished tradition that highlights the talent and dedication of the DMS and DHS Choirs.
They have a long-standing reputation for excellence, providing students with opportunities to develop their musical skills and perform for the community.
By participating in this event, supporters not only celebrate Valentine’s Day in a memorable way but also contribute to the continued success of the school’s music programs.
The choirs play a vital role in fostering a love for the arts among students.
Music education has been shown to enhance academic performance, improve social skills, and boost self-esteem.
By purchasing a “Singing Valentine,” community members are investing in the future of these young musicians and ensuring that the arts remain an integral part of the educational experience.
