The Current River State School PTO kicks off its Valentine's fundraiser, the Current River Cupid contest. Community members can vote for their favorite student by donating, with local businesses serving as voting stations.

The Current River State School Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is inviting the community to participate in their latest fundraiser, the Current River Cupid contest.

This engaging event allows community members to vote for one of 10 students vying for the title of Current River Cupid.

Each penny donated counts as a vote, and there is no limit to the number of votes one can cast. The PTO encourages voters to spread the word among friends and neighbors to maximize participation.

Several local businesses have stepped up to serve as public voting stations, making it convenient for community members to cast their votes. Participating locations include Lemonade House Grille-Doniphan on State Street, Sinnerz Ink Tattoo Co. / Drink Stop, The Prospect-News on Washington Street, Peoples Community Bank, and River House BBQ on Highway 160.

Voting will remain open until Feb. 13, and the student with the most votes will be crowned this year’s Current River Cupid. The winner will be announced on the CRSS PTO Facebook page.

The Current River State School PTO plays a vital role in supporting the educational and extracurricular activities of disabled students. By organizing events like the Current River Cupid contest, the PTO fosters community involvement and raises funds to enhance the school experience for all students.

For more information about the fundraiser or to learn how to get involved, visit the CRSS PTO Facebook page or contact the school directly.
