The Ripley County Public Health Center Board discussed COVID-19 updates, contract expirations, and approved the FY 2025 budget during their Jan. 16 meeting. No election will be needed as members refiled for re-election.

Ripley County Public Health Center Board of Trustees met Thursday, Jan. 16. Members Present: Sheila Featherston, Janet Arnold, Dorothy Walker, Mark Thompson, Sherrie Newman, Tammy Cosgrove.

The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read.

The warrants were signed, and work report was given.

Old Business:

COVID 19 Update: Tammy Cosgrove reported to the board that 28 positive cases have been reported so far this year.

Contract Updates: The ELC, The Adult Immunization and Workforce grants are all coming to an end this year.

New Business:

FY 2025 Budget: Tammy Cosgrove presented the board with the FY 2025 budget.

The board reviewed the budget. Mark Thompson made a motion to approve the 2025 Budget. Janet Arnold seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

CPA Information: Tammy Cosgrove contracted with DeWolf Accounting and Tax Services to review the health center’s QuickBooks program and assist with additional accounting issues.

Tammy Cosgrove presented the board with the environmental reports submitted by Jennifer Miller. The board reviewed the reports.

The four board members refiled for re-election. No election will be needed in April.

Mark Thompson made a motion to go into closed session regarding personnel. Sherrie Newman seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.The board returned to regular session.

Next board meeting will be held Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 4:30 p.m.There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
