Lawrence, who faces three felony counts, was apprehended at his residence following an investigation by the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department in cooperation with the FBI.
Ripley County Sheriff Rad Talburt said, “The Ripley County Sheriff’s Department got the call at 9:20 a.m., of a bank robbery.
“Deputy Rich Medley responded, along with the Missouri Highway Patrol. Deputy Medley was the first to arrive on the scene and also located the suspect,” said Talburt.
Sgt. Clark Parrott, public information officer with the MSHP, stated that no shots were fired and no one was hurt during the incident.
Another source stated he saw two female bank employees running into the Naylor Quick Stop, which is located next to the bank, either during or just after the robbery.
During the minutes following, Lawrence also pulled into the station, but the two ladies were safe inside the Quick Stop.
Naylor R-I Superintendent Stacey Roach was notified to go into lock down, which she stated, “Did not last long,” due to the prompt response by law enforcement.
Lawrence was identified based on information provided by witnesses.
He is charged with a Class A felony of robbery in the first degree, a Class D felony of a terrorist threat in the first degree and a Class E felony of harassment in the first degree.
He is being held in the Ripley County Detention Center without bond.
