According to reports, at approximately 8:40 p.m., on Feb. 5, the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department, with assistance by Doniphan Police, executed a search warrant at a West Doniphan residence. As a result of the search, officers located glass pipes with white residue which tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine.
Also located during the search was a spring-assisted knife.
In addition to the felony drug charge, LaChance was charged with a Class A misdemeanor of the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia (as a prior drug offender) and a Class D Felony of the unlawful possession, transport, manufacture, repair or sale of an illegal weapon.
He was booked at the Ripley County Detention Center. Bond was set at $10,000.
