Greetings From Dixie Ridge
Greetings from Dixie Ridge. I hope youns are having a great week.
My grandson, Cole, has football games on Friday nights and I have been traveling to Jonesboro to watch them. Next week he will play against Pocahontas in an away game, so it will be a closer drive for me to drive to Pocahontas to watch that game. Cole is the son of my daughter Amanda and Joey Graham of Egypt, Arkansas. I always enjoy watching my grandsons play their sports, concerts or activities they have going.
I also traveled to Kentucky this past weekend to see my cousins, Deb and Ed York. Deb is the daughter of my mother’s sister, Sophia Griffin McNew who passed away last year. My mother was Ethel McNew Tillman who passed in 2017. Deb and I went to the resale shop, Angel’s Attic in Murray. I always want to go because they usually have a large display of fabric, yarn and craft items, which is right up both of our allies.
Deb and I exchanged some crochet patterns and we all played games and enjoyed some great food.
I was saddened to hear of the loss of Wanda Moore, a former resident of Currentview as she passed away last week. She is the daughter of my former Sunday School teacher, Ada Burch and her daughters are friends of mine as well as her surviving siblings, one of which lives at Currentview, Francis (Dale) Pringle. Prayers for this family during this loss.
