She was placed on antibiotics and is to follow up with her primary care doctor...

Greetings From Dixie Ridge (1/26/22)Greetings from Dixie Ridge. It’s a crisp cold day here on the hill. I was happy to see the ice dissipate, although I fell down the steps while it was melting and was slushy. Fortunately, I just had a wrenched knee, sprained ankle and sore hip where I landed...

Hello From Dixie Ridge (11/23/21)Hello from Dixie Ridge. Happy Thanksgiving to all. I pray your day is filled with many blessings. Ever since the Tillman children’s tragedy, we (the Tillman’s) always have our Christmas combined with Thanksgiving on the Sunday following Thanksgiving Day. This year we are celebrating in the home of Ethan, Katy and Jessa Ormsby. I made up a pan of mother’s hot rolls and took them to the home of Rick and Kim Colburn for their deer season kick off. I met some good folks and a few that read my column and had memories of mother when she wrote the column. Thanks to all, for your support. Last Friday night we traveled to Pine to support the Pine community center and ate some wonderful fried fish and all the fixins. There was even an entire table devoted to any type of desert you could think of, if you had any room left to eat any. I met some nice folks and enjoyed the time we spent there. I made a double batch of mother’s hot rolls and took them to my brother’s camp out off C highway last Monday night. We had Ed and Leigh Ann Tillman, Ernie and Elania Tillman, Elaine Ormsby, Laramey Tillman, Bridget and Levi McElhaney, Marc and Tiffany Bass and their children, Jaxson, Bentley, Layton, Conner, Mason and Addison, in attendance. We enjoyed good food and fun around the campfire. My grandson Cole traveled to Prairie Grove, Ark. over by the Oklahoma border last week for a post seasonal invitational tournament football game. It was a good game, but Westside Warriors (from Jonesboro) came up short and the Prairie Grove Tigers won. So happy they had a safe trip there and back as that was a long way from home. Mother’s thought of the week…..Time is still the best answer, forgiveness is still the best pain killer and, God is still the best healer.
