Darrell Holland

Darrell William Holland of Texarkana, Ark., passed away on Aug. 3, 2024, in Ashdown, AR, at the age of 73. He was born in Shirley Township (Doniphan), on June 16, 1951.   

He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd Rex Holland and Bonnie Mae (Robbins) Holland of Doniphan, and a brother, Elige Clayton Holland.

Darrell is survived by a son, Keith (JoEllen) Holland of Bessemer, Ala., and two daughters, Shelley (Kris) Bocox of Texarkana and Sarah Holland of Lincoln, Neb. He is also survived by his siblings: Reta (Richard) Green of Davis, Calif.; Wendell (Jane) Holland of Flintstone, Ga.; Lial (Martha) Holland of Doniphan; Sherrill (Wally) Colvin of Sacramento, Calif.; and Vol (Linda) Holland of Edgar Springs, Mo. He had 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews at the time of his passing. 

Darrell was a devoted member of the Church of Christ, where he found solace and community throughout his life. He will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, steadfast faith, and unwavering love for his family. Darrell’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
