Edwards Funeral Home relocated to 606 Walnut Street in 1972 and current owners Mike Jackson and Spencer Hedgepeth continue to offer caring and compassionate services. Burial allowances have changed since 1965. The Social Security burial allowance, (called a ‘lump sum death benefit,”) is a one-time payment of $255 that can be paid to surviving spouses.
