Our thoughts and prayers are with Cathy Schubert, who recently underwent outpatient surgery on one of her knees at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. According to our sources the operation was quite successful, and the patient is recuperating nicely at home. Although she, no doubt was enduring a lot of pain, both before and after the operation. We truly thank God for his healing power, as we continue to hold Cathy up in prayers.
Due to various hindrances, the Bible study scheduled for Friday, Dec. 4, was canceled. However, the Sunday morning services was held as usual, with Rev. Robert Brown in charge. It was good to have Vicky Elliott back with us, after she had missed the previous week. Unfortunately however, Johnny Davis’s continuing problems with severe headaches and other ailments prevented his attendance that morning.
It was good to welcome John D. Haney and Marena Hendrix and Marena’s grandson Colby as well as another lady and her son as visitors, in addition to our regular members.
Following the Sunday church service, wedding vows were exchanged between John Haney and Marena Hendrix, with Rev. Brown performing the ceremony. Witnesses for the couple were Joe and Teresa Whaley of Poplar Bluff.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. John Haney.
