Ripley County Health Department November Board Meeting Minutes
The Ripley County Public Health Center Board of Trustees met Tuesday, Nov. 26.
Members present: Sheila Featherston, Dorothy Walker, Mark Thompson, Janet Arnold, Sherrie Newman and Tammy Cosgrove.
Old Business
COVID 19 update: There were two cases in November. There have been 293 cases this year.
QuickBooks update: QuickBooks has been updated and direct deposit is up and running.
The health center was closed Nov. 27-28 for Thanksgiving.
New Business
Cosgrove presented the board with Jennifer Miller’s environmental report and it was reviewed by the board.
The holiday calendar for 2025 was also presented by Cosgrove for review.
Thompson made a motion to accept it, which was seconded by Newman. It passed unanimously.
A bid for insurance was presented and reviewed by the board. Newman made a motion to accept the bid, with Arnold seconding. It passed unanimously as presented.
Registration for the April election began Tuesday, Dec. 10. The health board has four openings.
A budget amendment letter was presented by Cosgrove for remodeling work, grants and purchasing CDs. Thompson made a motion to accept it and was seconded by Arnold. It was unanimously approved.
A closed session was held.
There was no December board meeting. The next meeting took place at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 7.
