Surveys Needed To Improve Broadband Service - Deadline Aug. 9

Friday, July 26, 2024

Ripley County suffers from slow and inadequate internet service. But with your help, Ripley Connect can start the process of bringing high-speed broadband internet connections to more parts of the county.

Ripley Connect is a volunteer task force formed by the County Commission to tackle the problem by working with government funding agencies and local internet providers to greatly improve reliability and speeds.

Here's how you can help. Please go online and take a five-minute survey that can be found at Benton.Org/RipleyConnect. The survey will include a speed test of your current internet connection. It is important for the speed test to be done at the physical location where you live or do business. It can be done on a computer or a smartphone.

Time is of the essence as surveys need to be completed by August 9.

Why is high-speed broadband important?

It can improve the quality of life in education, healthcare, entertainment, online shopping, law enforcement, business services and many other areas

It is a key component to attracting new businesses and economic development.

Property values are improved with high-speed internet.

It helps to attract and keep younger people in the area.

Again, we need to collect 400 surveys by August 9th. Thank you for your help in completing this survey at Benton.Org/RipleyConnect
