We will be saying goodbye to August and hello September. Schools have pretty much started back up. Before you know it, Halloween, then Thanksgiving and low and behold it will be Christmas. I must say I hope we do not have as much snow as the fogs are saying we will. Old saying is, if you count the fogs in August, it tells how many times it will snow that winter. The longer the fog lingers the longer the snow will linger. So far, I think I have counted six or seven days of fog. Do I want a lot of snow? No. I only want snow at Christmas. I want it to be gone by the day after Christmas.

Bunco for September will be on the 28th at 6 p.m. at the Ponder Community Center on 142 West towards Gatewood. Bring a snack, finger food, or a covered dish. Come on out and enjoy the fun of playing Bunco.

The days are getting shorter, and nighttime is coming faster. Fall is around the corner; I have already been bringing out some of my fall decorations. I love fall and spring for all the colors they both bring to us. Again, not really fond of winter and a lot of snow. We have to take what we get and try to get by regardless of the season.
Lord, we look around and see that many are in need of your healing strength for the things they may be going through. We need to turn to you more than world.
