George Riggins and I went to Salem, Mo. to attend the funeral of Betty (Riggins) Brooks. Betty had siblings that attended her service and I gave them an invitation to the Riggins reunion held the second Sunday of August.
It’s been a busy week and I have been out and about but as a friend used to tell me, nothing for the paper. Bill worked this week in Mountain Grove and will work next week as well and didn’t come on Sunday to visit or do those chores he and Andrea usually do.
I have had in home rehab which is helpful. They always do a few helpful things even hang up clothes. The new over the door hanger is handy but about a foot too high for me.
Amber Ogdon came by and did some helpful things for me. She had to get on home to cook supper. It was Brenden’s birthday. She was fixing his favorite foods and banana pudding instead of cake. I know some people like other desserts but I always want chocolate cake with fudge frosting.
The alumni banquet was held May 13. Marty Hampton brought me a plate. There were 130 in attendance. The seniors who received scholarships were there to receive them. I like that, so often the senior trip is the same week and that just shouldn’t happen
