This has been a bad past week, as my grandson Anthony Belt while working on the river boat was killed. I know many have since talked about how dangerous that job was. I guess I just never realized it until now.
My heart hurts and goes out to his wife Sherry, mother Michelle and Doug Mandry and sisters Faith and Skylar, to his dad Chris Belt. To all of his family and friends. Please continue to pray for strength in the days ahead. Anthony always had a smile and I loved to be around him, just wish I could have spent more time with him. Love you Anthony, fly high with the Lord.
On Saturday afternoon Candy Martin came over and visited with me for several hours. Candy and James Martin’s daughter Kristal Martin is getting married on Saturday. Want to wish the bride and groom many good wishes for a wonderful wedding and many years of marriage. Prayers for all.
On Saturday evening, my friend Patty Bradshaw (my little sister) from Paducah, Ky. came over and spent the evening. Then on Sunday we went to Eminence, Mo. Stopped at J & B Restaurant for breakfast. It was so good and I really enjoyed all that I ate. Then we drove on to Echo Park. Didn’t see no horses, seen where they had been though. Just didn’t see them in person. It was so nice to get out and enjoy all the beauty that the Lord gives to us everyday.
Looking forward to doing it again hopefully soon. Wouldn’t mind staying in one of their little cabins one of these days. Thank you Patty for helping me get my mind off a few things.
Bunco for September will be on the 29th at the Ponder Community Center on 142 West at 6 p.m. Bring a snack, fingerfood, or a covered dish and then join in the fun of playing Bunco.
Prayers and love for those who are in need of strength and healing. Lord, keep our children safe and all that are in the schools safe and under your wings. Lord pray that people will turn to you more and not to the world around us. Remember that God loves you and so do I. Lord may we all stay safe to what is around us. Amen
