Greetings from Dixie Ridge, I hope all you snowbirds are enjoying this cold weather. I don’t like it one bit. I think it’s supposed to warm up this weekend some, so that will be nice. Just a couple more months and spring will be upon us.
A neighbor and friend, Stephen McGonigal has been picking up the roadsides along 142 and E highway. If you see Stephen out, give him a honk to say hello and thank him. I wish people wouldn’t throw trash out their vehicle windows.
I haven’t mentioned much about the coronavirus since it first started other than thorough hand washing and the wearing of personal protective equipment. I would like everyone to consider being vaccinated against it and to hear my reasons why I think it is important. The vaccine may not prevent you from getting Covid, but, there are reports that your symptoms will be less and hopefully not life threatening. Several people that elect not to be vaccinated are being seen first in the ER’s for symptoms, while broken bones, chest pain patients, seizure patients, car accident victims and others must wait in the lobby to be treated second. I know I was very thankful when I fell a couple weeks ago, that nothing was broken. I would hate to think of one of my loved ones having to wait in the lobby area of the hospital with critical conditions while coronavirus patients are being treated and their symptoms could have been lessened with a simple shot in the arm. I will step down from my soapbox at this time. Please consider vaccination.
