We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday and that New Year’s Day proves to be just as pleasant. Bonny Davis’s ‘extended’ family gathered at the home of Christi and Robert Kirby for a delicious meal, opening of gifts and a full day of joyous visiting. We missed Johnny Davis, who had every intention of being there but unfortunately, after waking up early, he fell back to sleep and snoozed until 3 p.m. Everyone was bitterly disappointed that Johnny didn’t make it, especially himself, but needless to say, we made the best of it.

Included in those present, in addition to those previously named, were: June and Joe Watson; Mickey, Cole, Audrey, Landon and Kannon Watson; Karen Gant; Addison Nichols; Kacie Hart; Jerry and Linda Richardson; Pam and Chad Howard. We also missed Caleb, Brittani and Gwenni Gant and Clayton, Christy and William Gant.

Having Christmas dinner with Marguerite Adair at her home in Handy were her children Doug Adair, Angie, Mark, Claire and Mia Jones, Cathy Schubert and Polly Sisco.

Ivan and Billy Sisco also had company for Christmas, their daughter Rhonda and her son A.J. from St. Joe. Clara Ray reported that they gathered at the home of her daughter Pam Stark for their meal on Christmas Day, having most of her family present with the exception of her husband Arlin who wasn’t feeling well.

We send our heartfelt condolences to the family of Brian Leroux of Doniphan who recently passed away. May God bless and comfort each one as only He can. We are also so sorry to learn of the death of Darrell Grubb who has been a lifetime friend to many of us. We pray for God to bless and comfort his family during this time of bereavement.
