On Oct. 10 in celebration of National Pastor Appreciation Day Faith Life Christian Church had a special dinner for their pastor, Bro. Alan and Sis. Kathy Wilson and Associate Pastor, Bro. Jody and Sis. Robin Wilson and family. We are blessed to have them as our pastors and their family.
I have been seeing a lot more deer moving around since it has started getting a little cooler. You can tell fall is in the air, for sure. Also the trees are beginning to lose their leaves. I have also noticed a little woolly bug hanging around the foot of my steps to my trailer. I wonder if he is trying to tell me it is going to be a cold and hard winter this year. Although, I do love the colors of fall, which is my second favorite season for colors, first is spring. Although, Christmas is my most favorite holiday time.
Bunco Oct. 28 at the Ponder Community Center on Highway 142W toward Gatewood, at 6 p.m. Come on out and join the fellowship of playing Bunco. Bring a snack, finger food or a covered dish. It is almost Halloween so why not bring a little treat or trick them while playing Bunco.
Lone Star School is having a couple of fundraisers. One is the collection of bottle lids and the others they are selling raffle tickets for a gun. I am sorry for not having more information. I know if you call the school at 996-7118, I am sure they can give you more information and how to buy tickets. Get your tickets soon for the drawing on the gun, maybe in time for deer season. I pray for healing for those that are in need and also Lord hold those up that need your strength. Keep all safe, watch over children and grandchildren. Lord thank you for all you do and the blessing we received from you. Remember God loves you and so do I. Amen
