You can really say that fall is in the air, as the colors of fall are showing their beautiful colors. Although the temps have gone up a little again. It is nice to have cooler weather and soon it will be time to look for those mushrooms. Next, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas and I forgot deer season.
Saddened to hear of several from our community that have passed away. To the families of Cindy Devore, Glenn Mobley, Purita Creutz, Sherry Helton and others. I know that we never lose the people we love, even to death. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. Those memories will always be with us in all we do. To these families and others we send out prayers and all our love.
Bunco for October will be the 28th, at 6 p.m. at the Ponder Community Center on Highway 142 West toward Gatewood. Bring a snack, covered dish or some type of finger food. Come on out and enjoy the fellowship of playing Bunco.
I want to say thank you to a lot of great neighbors and friends who do so many wonderful things for me. I was glad to see Mo-Dot mowing the sides of the roads. It was growing up really a lot along my place. So much that I went to pull out and was almost hit. First the car was flying and Highway 160 West is not a good road to fly on with too many curves. Now I can see down the road with plenty of time to not pull out in front of someone.
As we bring this week to a close, Lord, I pray that those who are sick, heal them, Lord. Those who are struggling with losses give them strength and fill those needs with love. Lord, may the world realize until we all go back to work and start to rebuild America, it will continue to struggle. Remember God loves you and so do I. Let us all join together in prayer for all that is going on around us. Amen
