Pork Chops With Apples
Brown trimmed pork chops on both sides in slight amount of butter. In same skillet, top with a layer of thinly sliced, peeled apples. Mix one can of mushroom soup with 1/3 can of milk and drizzle over top of meat and apples.
Simmer covered until pork chops are tender.
Banana Slush
4 cups sugar
1 small can frozen lemonade
5 ripe bananas, mashed
7-Up
6 cups water
1 small can frozen orange juice
1 large can pineapple juice
Make syrup of water and sugar by heating until sugar is dissolved. Cool. Combine with remaining ingredients and freeze until slushy. Fill glass 1/2 - 3/4 with slush. Fill to top with 7-Up (or ginger ale).
Pumpkin Waffles
2 cups flour
2 tbsp. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1-1/2 cup milk
1 cup canned pumpkin
4 egg yolks
3/4 cup butter, melted
1 tbsp. vanilla
4 egg whites
Sift together dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, combine milk, pumpkin, egg yolks, butter and vanilla. pour onto dry ingredients and stir just until blended. Beat egg whites to stiff peak, and fold into batter. Cook batter on hot, lightly oiled waffle iron. Cook until the waffles are crisp, browned and come away from the iron.
