It seems like so much has happened in the last two weeks. I finally had my surgery and I am slowly coming along. The surgery itself was six hours and was very hard. On Wednesday Betty Shonk and her daughter Pam drove me to Cape. I am so thankful for wonderful people who are here for me and taking care of me. They took out the staples, which there were 40 of them. Glad they are out. Still going to be a long road before I can feel like myself again. I do know the Lord would not bring me this far if it wasn’t because He has more for me to do for Him and praise the Lord for His wonderful healing and love.
It has also been a very sad week for me. My uncle Bob Dudley passed away. He has had many health problems for awhile. One of the best memories I have of Uncle Bob was when he would take my cousin Roberta Dudley Windschester and I out to Highlands in St. Louis. He would watch us like a hawk, yet he would always allow us to have fun. He would always let us swing in the big swing, that when you went around you would think your feet would touch the tree limbs.
Another thought he would always tell me there are three sides to things, you get into an argument with someone, remember there will be their side, your side but then the truth. He loved the Lord and he was always studying the Bible and knew the Bible inside and out. He could tell you where to find what you were looking faster than Google. Visitation was held Tuesday, Nov. 17 and then a graveside service. Love you uncle Bob.
They will not be having Bunco in November or December because of the holidays. They will start back up in January. I hope everyone is having a safe deer season.
Lord, our country needs so much healing in so many ways. Lord I pray that you touch those who are in need of your mighty touch. Lord give those in need of peace, strength and let us learn to show love and kindness for one another. Thank You for loving us so much. Remember God loves you and so do I.
