Joe and June Watson and Jimmy Davis of Campbell, Mo. all worked on Johnny’s garden most of the day last Saturday to keep it flourishing. The Watson’s have spent many hours at keeping Johnny’s house, garden and grounds from “going to pot” and we’re extremely thankful to have assistance from Jimmy, who has a full schedule of his own (pastoring Campbell Assembly of God and also dealing in hospice care.)...

It was good to have Vicky Elliott back in Church at Handy last Sunday. Vicky is in the process of having her teeth pulled and expects to have dentures fitted, but it is a slow and difficult process. We also pray for her success and comfort in doing so. It was also nice that Jerald Steele (Vicky’s cousin, who lives and works in Illinois) accompanied her to the morning service. We appreciate his attendance, as well as his support of Vicky·

We were also grateful that John and Janet Hoskins are back with us on Sundays. It was truly a blessing to have Janet as pianist since the regular pianist (Johnny Davis) and the other alternative (Kristy Brown) were both absent. (Mrs. Brown had other obligations that prevented her from accompanying Pastor Brown.)

Although we didn’t get to visit with Jeff Adair he was visiting in the community and we send him our love and hope to see him next time.

We send our love and condolences to the Hilton family on the recent passing of their sister-in-law Susie. She was the wife of Howard Hilton who passed away just a few years earlier. They did not live here but Howard grew up in the area and we have fond memories of him and all of his family. May God bless all of the family and their loved ones.
