Hello all. I don’t have a lot of news this week but a lot to say so please bear with me.
First let me begin by saying, I am social distancing and self-isolating myself to avoid getting sick. Since I work at home on the phone lines for hospice, doctors and home health companies, we are seeing an increase in calls and I can’t afford not to have a job. I pray for those that must work out in the community, for their safety and the ability to keep their jobs. I pray for the elderly in centers, the homeless and our military. This coronavirus or COVID-19 is crippling our world, not just here but in all countries. People are greedy and becoming hoarders and actually “fighting” over toilet paper…who thought it would come to that. We must all abide by the recommendation of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization in order to decrease the amount of COVID-19 infection. Also, if you want up to date information, please don’t look at every social media post and think to yourself….This has to be true since it’s on Facebook or Twitter. Go to www.cdc.com for the Center of Disease Control and Prevention’s website for more accurate information. You may visit the World Health Organization’s website at www.who.int Please be informed and stay safe. If you are my neighbor, friend or family, please know that I am praying for you daily. Prayer is all we have now and we must all be diligent in our duties.

Thought of the week: When this is over, may we never again take for granted: A handshake with a stranger; full shelves at the store; conversations with neighbors; a crowded theatre; Friday night out; the taste of communion; a routine checkup; the school rush each morning; coffee with a friend; the stadium roaring; each deep breath; a boring Tuesday; or life itself. When this ends, may we find that we have become more like the people we wanted to be, we were called to be, we hoped to be and may we stay that way--better for each other because of the worst.
