Sunday was a day of blessings in so many ways. My Explorer went out on the way through town at Chicken on the Run, thank you Tommy Gimlin and Rick Plunk from the police department, because of them I was able to start it again. Tommy followed me to church to make sure I got there without it going out again. But again it went out at church. Spent 30 to 40 minutes trying to get a tow truck sent out. It turns out it was my alternator. Thank you to Jason Orr for taking it off and going after a new one from Napa and putting it on for me. “Thank You”, for all those at church who stayed with me and helped me. A big “Thank You”, Bro. Alan and Sis. Kathy Wilson and my church family, very thankful to so many. Love you all.

I received a call from George Byrd and his wife Velma. Velma has a hard time with walking up their ramp at their home. Was becoming very much unsafe. Like I said, the Lord sends angels in many ways. “Thank You”, to Safe Haven Church, their son and daughter-in-law Oscar and Debbie Roberson, and the Safe Haven Church family. Together they provided the materials and workers the time to  build Velma and George a brand new ramp. One that will make it easier for them to  go up and down and no fear of it falling through. George and Velma want to send out big heartfelt love to all. George says if you are in need of help he will be there.

Bunco will be on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. Bring a snack, covered dish or finger food and come on out and enjoy the fellowship and fun of playing Bunco. It will be held at the Ponder Community Center on 142W going toward Gatewood. See you there.
