Mostly incumbent Ripley County officials assembled at the courthouse at 2 p.m., this afternoon to take their traditional oaths of office prior to beginning the new year. All the elected officials, with one exception, won their seats in the 2024 primary. However, the election resulted in one new official. Former Missouri Water Patrol Colonel Rad Talburt, came out of retirement to take on a new role, that of sheriff of Ripley County. Talburt was sworn in, along with five new deputies and two from the previous administration, and officers with the Doniphan Police Department
