*Get 3 tires checked for intermittent loss of pressure and discover each has a flat.

*Wait just once to fill up when the gas tank is almost empty, and fuel prices jump.

*Stash cash for emergencies and forget where.

*Shop at a favorite store and learn you missed a fabulous sale by one day.

*Run to the store a disheveld mess and you’ll run into folks you’re excited to see.

*Let a feral cat in during extremely frigid temps. She'll deliver three kittens in a closet.

*Cover early spring blooms for predicted late frosts that don’t happen. Skip a night, it snows.

*Splurge on a “new” scratch-off. Person behind you buys 1 of your usuals and wins in 4 digits.

*On at least one special occasion per decade, another will show up wearing an identical outfit.
